Butterfly Theatre

Ed trained as an actor at ArtsEd and has been working with Butterfly ever since.

In 2019 Ed wrote our hit show for Jersey’s 16 New St, Secrets Unlocked, using Shakespeare scenes to tell the story of Jersey’s history.

Ed wrote the adaptation of Alice in Wonderland which toured Germany in 2016 and the UK in 2017. As Assistant Director, Ed worked on Alice In Wonderland, and for Macbeth, Butterfly's very first production in Germany.

As a director Ed has worked with Butterfly on California Suite (The Other Palace Studio, London), as well as writing and directing both Dracula’s Women (Buxton Fringe) and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (The Other Palace Studio and Above the Arts, London).

Aside from his work with Butterfly, Ed has had plays produced by Elizabeth Samuels Drama School, Teomas Theatre and has worked as dramaturg for drama groups in Germany.

Ed's first feature film, When the Screaming Starts, premiered at FrightFest and has since been an official selection at film festivals in the UK, Europe and the USA.
