Nick is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he specialised in directing. Being both British and German, his great passion lies in bringing people together from different walks of life, cultures and ages through theatre. This is why in he is particularly interested in touring English language plays in Europe and staging English language plays with foreign language learners both in the UK and abroad. His work with Butterfly includes producing and directing the German tours of Macbeth, Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet as well as the German & UK tour of Alice in Wonderland.
Aside from his work with Butterfly, Nick ran his own inter-cultural youth ensemble for 15 years, a company of up to 70 teenage foreign language learners staging and touring plays in the original English. In addition, Nick has directed shows for Theatre Collection London, the English Theatre Hamburg and for the international tours of White Horse Theatre. He has taught acting and directing with the Meisner method at Arts Educational Schools London and Theater Akademie Mannheim in Germany and as a workshop facilitator at theatre festivals in France and Italy.
