A unique workshop exploring our diversity and human connection using Shakespeare’s famous “I am a Jew” speech.

This workshop explores performance techniques that empower participants to create genuine, authentic connection with each other and an audience, while at the same time allowing them to express their uniqueness through Shakespeare’s timeless words. The session results in a totally individual live or recorded group performance of this famous Shakespeare speech. This workshop is a great addition to modules that focus on choral speaking and group performance.

In this workshop your students will explore and break down the text to uncover objectives, stakes and motivations. They will also learn performance techniques that will enable them to use tactics and objectives, as well as connect truthfully and authentically to both the text and the audience. This workshop is a great addition to modules that focus on individual performance of speeches and direct address to the audience.
