Butterfly Theatre

For Butterfly Elle has directed An Ideal Husband, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Secrets Unlocked in Jersey and London Steam Museum, Shakesbeer in Love at Windsor Brewery, and Twelfth Night scenes for Butterfly’s collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra, and Office Xmas Party at The Other Palace Studio.

She directed Closure for Stack 10 Theatre, Sari: The Whole Five Yards at the Tristan Bates Theatre, Pinocchio for Lantern Arts, Eleanor’s Theorem for Intermission Youth Theatre, co-directed Sherlock Holmes for Elizabeth Samuels Drama School, and Associate Director on Romeo & Juliet for University of West London.

Elle has directed short films Dirt, Best Man and co-wrote/directed Contraception with Hayley Cusick. Recently, Elle was 2nd Assistant Director on Ed Hartland’s first feature film When The Screaming Starts.

Assistant Director credits for Butterfly include: Hamlet in Bristol & Germany, Comedy of Errors, Macbeth, The Tempest in Bristol, and Play On Shakespeare with the LSO at the Barbican.

Elle’s acting roles with Butterfly have included Gwendoline in The Importance of Being Earnest, Lady Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, and most recently, the Red Queen/March Hare in Alice In Wonderland.

Elle co-teaches Butterfly’s weekly acting class with Aileen Gonsalves.
