Hayley has worked for Butterfly as an Actor, Director and Producer for many years since the company formed, before taking on the role as Co-Artistic Director of the Theatre strand of Butterfly along with long-time friend and colleague Caroline Colomei. She's about making theatre fun, energetic, accessible and relevant. Hayley's favourite moment from a Butterfly show was watching an 80 year old man dance to the song 'Timber' in a cave in Devon.
As a Director for Butterfly her credits include: Immersive Macbeth | UK Tour, The Importance of Being Earnest | Above the Arts, London, California Suite | The Other Palace Studio, London, Immersive As You Like It | UK Site-Specific Tour, and Romeo & Juliet | Pooles' Cavern. Co-directing credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream and An Ideal Husband. She assisted Gary Sefton on A Christmas Carol at the The Other Palace Studio. Hayley also produced and edited Butterfly’s We Are Human video.
Other directing credits include: Daybreak, The Musical | Tristan Bates, Nevermore The Musical | The Courtyard Theatre, With or Without EU | Bread and Roses, The 1033 Project | The Last Refuge, The Vagina Monologues | The Bussey Building, as well as having written and directed Angels In Heels at Edinburgh Fringe. She was also part of the 2020 Skill Share for Producers with Ceridwen Theatre funded by Arts Council England.
She co-wrote/directed a short comedy film Contraception with Elle de Burgh and has many acting credits to her name, both with and without Butterfly, including recently appearing as Cherry in Coronation Street.
